Background:
Since childhood, I have focused strongly on my studies. Maintaining a high GPA has kept me driven in the classroom. As a young person, I was the "tall" kid; therefore, it seemed basketball was the obvious sport for me. I have played basketball at a high level and competed in the sport through high school. Although basketball was my first love, baseball has always called my name. I stopped playing baseball after 7th grade and just recently picked up the ball again my junior year. I always felt I had something to offer baseball and that I was leaving an opportunity on the table by not playing. Once I threw the ball again, it was a natural fit. I have found a new drive and am focused on bringing all I can to the sport. In the past year, I have made serious strides and it is starting to feel as though I never stopped playing. Although my baseball history may not be typical, I can assure you I have what it takes and my best baseball is yet to come!
